HistoryBethany began in March of 1995 as an outreach ministry of a larger church for believers who did not feel comfortable in a larger church setting and desired to establish a new local church. With the blessing of the larger church pastor, Bethany began with 12 adults and a few children in the home of our present pastor Richard Lee and his wife Mary. The church quickly outgrew the home within a few weeks and began meeting in a local hotel meeting room. The need to have the use of a building resulted in moving into a small building across from the Humble High School in July of 1996. The Lord blessed the church as it continued to grow and the need for a larger facility presented itself with the purchase of our present facility here in Kingwood in July of 1999. Our fellowship is running around 100 at this writing and though it is small in numbers we rejoice with a very active calendar and congregants. |
